Twitter To Shutter #Music App April 18th
Twitter will close its #music app exactly one year after it launched. In a tweet the company announced:
Later this afternoon, we will be removing Twitter #music from the App Store. If you have the app, it will continue to work until April 18.

"We continue to experiment with new ways to bring you great content based on the music activity we see every day on Twitter," read the next tweet.
Designed as a music sharing platform, Twitter #music launched after the social network bought the "We Are Hunted" music discovery app. The new service never really gained traction; and rumors were circulating as early as October 2013 that it would be scrapped.
Topspin SVP Bob Moczydlowsky joined last year as head of Twitter Music, and is said to be working on integrating music with Twitter's central experience, rather than as a separate app.
