Any musician working in digital audio workstations like Ableton Live, FL Studio and Logic X, Splice can use Splice as a cloud-based studio and an online community. The private studio synchs projects with the cloud, keeping track of all changes and sharing them with collaborators from a detailed timeline. On the community side of Splice, musicians can share their work for others to remix, discover new artists to collaborate with, and showcase the story behind their music with the DNA Player.
“As a producer and performer who is constantly on the road, easy collaboration during moments of free time is really key to laying down new tracks.” said Steve Angello, producer and DJ. “This is often easier said than done with the disconnected way all of our tools as musicians currently work.”
The DNA Player allows musicians and their fans to engage with a song, visualizing its composition including each segment with annotations from the creator.
