Apple’s Beats, Bose Settle Noise-Canceling Lawsuit
One of those annoying little details left hanging when Apple bought Beats for $3.2 billion, a lawsuit filed by Bose over noise-canceling technology, has been settled out of court. The original filing by Bose claimed that it had "suffered and will continue to suffer damages, in an amount yet to be determined, including due to loss of sales, profits, and potential sales that Bose would have made but for Beats' infringing acts."
The details of the deal were not disclosed.
As usual, Apple declined to comment, and a Bose spokespern said only "the issue has been resolved, and terms aren't being disclosed."
