Amazon Music Turns Up The Heat With 30 Exclusives
Almost daily we get a press release announcing how Music Service X is differentiating itself from the competition. Since its missing Universal Music and a lot of current hits, Amazon Prime Music can't have the deepest catalog, but it can make its users feel 'special' with exclusives.
Amazon today announced Amazon Acoustics, a collection of 30+ original acoustic recordings available exclusively for streaming on Prime Music and purchase on Amazon.
Established and developing artists are featured with newly-written or recorded songs like Joshua Radin performing Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors,” Surfer Blood covering Outkast’s popular hit “Hey Ya!,” Jessie Baylin covering Harry Nilsson’s “He Needs Me,” and Tokyo Police Club stripping down their own, “Argentina (Part I) [Acoustic].”
“We are always looking for unique ways to make Prime Music the best destination for our listeners – offering original, exclusive recordings is one way we’re raising the bar on the music listening experience,” stated Steve Boom, VP of Digital Music for Amazon. “
