Grammy Awards Say This ‘Leaked’ List Of Winners Is Fake
[UPDATED] A partial list of Grammy winners which was "leaked" via Twitter is a fake, according to The Recording Academy, which oversees the music awards. Main Pop Data published a list of winners in several main categories that it said had leaked on the Grammy web site.
Main Pop Data "leaked" the apparently false list of winners in three main tweets Monday.
Winners of the 2019 #GRAMMYS have apparently been leaked through their official website, with the "Big 3" categories named to the following:
Record of the Year – I Like It
Album of the Year – H.E.R.
Song of the Year – Shallow (@ladygaga)Video:https://t.co/drbNZlW8x8

"There is no legitimacy to this," the Recording Academy sais in a statement. "Grammy Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the Grammy Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered by (official Grammy accounting firm) Deloitte in sealed envelopes."
Billboard reports that The Recording Academy is considering legal action.
