QUICK HITS: Borman • BeatStars • Bandcamp + Empire • MusicAI + RoEx • Cakewalk • MusicalAI

Industry veteran Donna Hughes has joined the Borman Entertainment team as VP of Touring/Communications.  She will report to Tour Marketing and Radio SVP Donna Jean Kisshauer and work with Keith UrbanTyler Hubbard, and Borman’s other management clients.

• Beats marketplace BeatStars clients won two BMI Pop Awards with producer Dan Darmawan for the 3x platinum “Romantic Homicide” and 2x platinum “Here With Me” by d4vd. The company has also surpassed $325 million in total payouts to its community of 10 million creators in over 200 territories.

Bandcamp has added the indie label Empire and its artists Key Glock, Conway the Machine, Dinner Party, and African artists Olamide, Asake and Black Sherif, in addition to the chart-topping Shaboozey.

Music.AI, the B2B AI-powered music, and audio platform has partnered with RoEx, the AI multitrack mixing service for musicians, producers, and content creators. This builds on integrations announced earlier this year: Masterchannel’s spatial audio upmixing and Cyanite’s AI-based music tagging and search solutions. These partners bring specialized capabilities to complement Music.AI’s 50+ proprietary stackable AI modules.

Cakewalk, the digital audio workstation (DAW) has announced that Cakewalk Next and Cakewalk Sonar have exited beta and are now available worldwide, exclusively through BandLab Membership. These DAWs complement the existing capabilities of BandLab Studio, which remains free for all users.

Musical AI (formerly Somms.ai) has launched a platform to bridge the gap between rights holders (labels, publishers, artists) and generative AI companies. It facilitates proper attribution of copyrighted works for AI training and generation but also ensures AI companies can fairly compensate rights holders.
