Meme Delivers Fleetwood Mac Hit 41 Years After Release
Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" has entered the Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart at #14, that's 41 years after it was first released as a single from their hit album Rumours. It's all thanks to a Twitter meme which has been retweeted 311,000 times and liked more than 135,00 times.
Fleetwood Mac last appeared on the Hot Rock Songs chart, in 2017 after their song "The Chain" appeared on the Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 soundtrack.
The meme includes a short video of a cheerleader doing a routine to "Dreams," accompanied by the comment "Fleetwood Mac’s music is so boring, you can’t even dance to it,” and a that caption reads “Me, an intellectual.”
