Radiohead Sues Lana Del Rey: “Creep” vs. “Lust For Life”
Radiohead is suing Lana Del Rey over the new song ‘Get Free’ from her latest album 'Lust For Life' and alleged similarities with Radiohead's 90’s hit "Creep." On Sunday, Del Rey responded on Twitter, saying that even though her song was not inspired by "Creep," she had offered the band a 40% stake in publishing, which their lawyers rejected.
It’s true about the lawsuit. Although I know my song wasn’t inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing – I offered up to 40 over the last few months but they will only accept 100. Their lawyers have been relentless, so we will deal with it in court.

Where the line is drawn between creative inspiration and plagiarism promises to be an increasingly contentious issue in 2018 and beyond. Listen to this side by side comparison and decide for yourself.
