As it announced that it would back in March, Instagram has shifted the algorithm that orders the posts that users see. "You’ll see the moments you care about first," claims Instagram.
On average, people miss 70% of their feeds, says the photo based social network. But "with this new ordering you won’t miss your favorite band’s video after the concert, even if it took place across the world in a different time zone. And no matter how many accounts you follow, you should see your best friend’s latest posts."
If Your Fans Like What You Post, The Changes Could (Or Could Not) Be GoodDuring tests, Instagram says that they found that users were liking photos more, commenting more and generally engaging with the community in a more active way.
