Prince’s “The Very Best Of” Tops U.S. Chart This Week
The Very Best of Prince is the #1 album in the U.S. this week (April 15 – 21, 2016) with over 121,000 album project units, according to BuzzAngle Music. The number is particularly impressive since almost all of the sales came on a single day, the day of his death and the last day of the sales week.Purple Rain was the top selling song of the week with 120K song sales. Prince also had four of the 10 top selling songs for the week. The others were Little Red Corvette (#5), Kiss (#7), and Let’s Go Crazy (#8).
