Slacker Radio Unveils Redesign | Personalized Radio & Platform For Creators
Slacker Radio aims to redefine internet radio with their new redesign, opening doors to independent creatives and setting the stage for a transformative music streaming experience. The first steps of this rollout include welcoming well-known personalities such as Tyler Oakley and Nerdists, both of whom will have dedicated Slacker stations. With these changes comes an entirely new modernized look and feel for the Slacker website and iPhone app. (Android and other devices will be forthcoming)
The new site and apps are part of Slacker Radio’s massive redesign, bringing more attention to the unique content of the service, surfacing more personalization and recommendations, and ultimately making it easier to use and more accessible while enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal. The new user interface provides a clean, highly customizable interface so that every station can be further fine-tuned by artist, song and genre, enabling listeners to make each station their own.
Slacker will welcome several culturally significiant voices at the introduction of their creator platform. YouTube sensations Tyler Oakley, Comic Book Girl 19 and the Rooster Teeth staff will take part in Slacker Radio’s “I Am The DJ” program and fresh content from Nerdist will be available on a dedicated channel.
To try the new and improved version of Slacker Radio, you can visit their website or download the app. Enjoy unlimited skips, customizable channels, offline listening, all sans ads for $3.99 a month. For a $9.99 premium, all of those features are available along with on-demand access to Slacker Radio’s library of millions of songs.
