CMA Songwriter Series Returns To Nashville
As part of the events and activities leading up to The 48th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 5, the Country Music Association is bringing the CMA Songwriters Series back to Music City. Taking place at the Nov. 4 at the CMA Theater in Nashville, the CMA Songwriters Series will feature 2014 CMA Awards nominees Brandy Clark and Jaren Johnston as well as other songwriters who have yet to be announced.
Clark received two CMA nods this year; New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year (for co-writing the Kacey Musgraves’ hit “Follow Your Arrow,”). Johnston also earned two nods this year, with nominations for Single of the Year category for co-producing Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk On A Plane” as well as for Album of the Year for co-producing Bentley’s Riser.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the CMA Songwriters Series, which kicked off in January with a standing-room only show at the Sundance Film Festival, as well as shows in the Bahamas, London, Chicago, and New York. – via Celebrity Access
