Nederlander Signs On To Book, Promote Sunset Strip Music Fest
Concert promoters Nederlander has been tapped to book and promote 7th Annual Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) with SSMF, LLC. In addition, festival organizers have announced that the festival is expanding to two days, scheduled for Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21 on The Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, Calif.
The festival will feature dozens of musical acts over the two-day period at numerous venues on the Strip, including The Roxy Theatre, Viper Room, Whisky a Go Go, and House of Blues Sunset Strip, among others.
In addition, the festival will kick off with a tribute to a yet-to-be-announced Sunset Strip icon. Last year's icon was Joan Jett, who was awarded the Elmer Valentine Award for her contributions to The Sunset Strip.
This year SSMF will work with CBS RADIO’s six Los Angeles stations as the event’s exclusive radio sponsors. With promotion across the popular stations, SSMF will be able to provide outstanding exposure to the festival to more than 8.5 million listeners. CBS RADIO’s stations in Los Angeles include the “World Famous” KROQ, 93.1 JACK FM, 97.1 AMP Radio, KRTH 101 (K-Earth), KNX1070 NewsRadio, and 94.7 The Wave. KROQ, known for their discovery of up-and-coming artists and often the first station to champion new, unsigned, and local Alternative Rock bands, will serve as the lead promotional partner for SSMF. – via Celebrity Access
