Google+ Could Hit 10 Million Users Today & You Need To Get Involved Now

image from www.google.com Google+ is exploding and you need to jump on the bandwagon. According to a new analysis from Ancestry.com's Paul Allen. Google+ grew 30% between Sunday and Monday to an estimated 9.5 million users and should easily pass 10 million users today and reach 20 million by this weekend if they keep the Invite Button available. "As one G+ user put it, it is easy to underestimate the power of exponential growth," said Allen. How you can get involved:

  • Sign up as a Google+ user.  For most its as easy as signing into your Google account.
  • Update your profile. Add a photo, check the info.  You're about to go public and you want to get it right.
  • Understand what Google+ is all about. Start with Google videos here.
  • Add a Google+ button to you blogs and web sites. Here's how.
  • Start playing around creating Google+ Circles and Hangouts

  1. Can one sign up as musician/band ? I read that Google is taking down all pages that do not represent individual people until they release their own equivalent of Facebook’s Pages in the future..

  2. Be very careful of all the hype people. Know what or why you want to use the service, ESPECIALLY if you’re a heavy user of other Google products.

  3. All fine and dandy, except for this:
“Google+ is in limited Field Trial. Right now, we’re testing with a small number of people, but it won’t be long before the Google+ project is ready for everyone. Leave us your email address and we’ll make sure you’re the first to know when we’re ready to invite more people.”
And I’m already registered Google user, long ago.

  4. Mick,
Have you asked around in your own network to see if anyone is already signed up? They can send you an invitation.

  5. Haha….I see people flocking like idiots from FB to G+, cause we all know G+ won’t have any privacy issues like FB….

  6. I’m diving in this week and hope to have something to say about music marketing on Google+ sometime next week, if Bruce doesn’t beat me to it!
Eric, another service to weigh you down. I feel for you, bro! Let me know if you post anything about why people should avoid Google+ so I can consider it for my coverage.
    Madalyn, see you there!
