Despite Turmoil EMI Has Strong Week
- Ex Guns and Roses guitarist Slash's new solo album debuts at number three, with 60,321 units scanned, after signing to EMI's unique Label Services division.
- Capitol Nashville-signed Lady Antebellum hold firm at number four after 10 weeks in the US top 5, with 56,973 units scanned and with over-the-counter sales in the US now over 1.7 million making ‘Need You Now’ the best-selling album of 2010 so far in America.
- Now! 33 is at number 5, with 53,403 scanned this week. Now! And Now That’s What I Call Music! are EMI-owned brandsand in the UK last week, Now! 75 was confirmed as delivering the highest week one sales of any album released in the UK this year to date.
