Moby Talks Past Hits And The Digital Future
Moby tells the Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg, “Making records has never been less expensive. The fact that revenues has fallen for record companies is only half the story.” and much more. (via Prefix)
thanks for sharing. Moby is an awesome musician, and he was right in saying there is more precedent for good records not selling, but there are always exceptions as was the case with Play.
Moby is a talentless lame-o – a stomach-turning narcissist with no musical skills beyond the presets on his sampler. That mossberg interviews him as an artistic voice only shows why the WSJ should stick to business reporting. The only Moby track worth anything was the fluke he did early on, “Go”, and that was half because it relied completely on the twin peaks theme and half because it was well timed with the emergence of acid house.
