LP33.tv Launches Indie Music Video Destination

Just when MTV is migrating what little remains of  its music programing onto the net, LP33.tv  has launched a competing site anchored entirely by indie music. The expereince is slick and easy to navigate with genre specific channels, music news and a wide variety of music themed video content.  How many fans will migrate from broader already established sites like MySpace and imeem and how much time they will spend surrounded
by unfamiliar music may be prove obstacles.

LP33.tv tries to create an MTV-like experience, with multiple channels featuring news, documentaries, video blogs, live music and video promos. Staff VJs guide viewers to discover new music. Friends can connect through a social networking component to share music and purchase downloads. LP33tv is taping live music events in North America and the UK and will feature artist-created video content, tour diaries and video blogs.

Founder Andrew Bentley, the former CFO of Virgin  Music and EMI International, and CEO of EMI Music/Asia Pacific, is also a serial entrepreneur.  Content Director/SVP Vlad Lodzinski is a former Executive Producer and Channel Launch Manager for MTV Europe. Artist Liaison  Director/SVP Catalina Guirado-Cheadle is a former signed singer/songwriter.
