Last.fm Expands Free Streams To Japan
Last.fm has expanded its free-on-demand song and radio streams to
Japan. The 3.5 million tracks include only one major label,
Universal, but a large number of indies have signed on directly and via
IODA, The Orchard, CD Baby and Naxos.
Through an affiliate partnership with HMV Japan, users can also click to purchase . Since launching its free on-demand
service in the US and UK this January, Last.fm has seen a 119% increase in affiliate click-through sales. 450K tracks on Last.fm
are also available for free download.
